Sidney Prather Obituary

Prather, Sidney Ellen
February 4, 1947 - November 16, 2010
Loving mother and "Tutu" passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after losing her brave fight against ovarian cancer. She is survived by her sister Chris, daughter Nicole, son Brian and four grandchildren. Born in Southern California, Sidney grew up in the foothills of Northern California. After earning her degree from CSU Sacramento, she worked for the Social Security Administration for almost two decades. In 2004, Sidney moved to Los Angeles to devote her time caring for two of her grandchildren. Tutu was adored and deeply loved by all of her grandchildren, who will forever hold her love for them within their hearts. Her humor, love of nature, sense of adventure and good natured quick wit will always be remembered. She was a very special person and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known her. In honor of her memory, please consider sending a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Society.
