My dearest Valerie,
What a shock it was to hear about Tim's passing. We truly were blessed to have known Tim and have you both as neighbors.
Tim was a special man who touched many people with his humor and kindness.
We will keep you in our prayers and know that we are here if you need us.
What a great tribute the services were to the life he lived and the multitude of people he touched. He truly will missed by many people.
With all our love,
Trudy Coburn and Family

I met Tim at the S.P.I.N. Meetings, mentioned in his obituary, as the representative for the L.A. School Police Department. He was a good man, dedicated to his community, and when he saw a need acted on it and made things happen. I enjoyed working with him and know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. My deepest sympathies to his family.
Tim, Thank you for the great memories. You are our hero and always be in our hearts.

Dear Valerie,
I am saddened with the news of Tim's death. He was the "CAPTAIN" when I first started on the Crisis Response Team in 1993. He was always supportive and carried himself with such class. I remember how pleased he was with the results of an assignment he had asked of me and Eleanor Montana (also on the Crisis Response Team) to oversee in the area of Wilmington that was referred to as "Ghost Town". He wasn't quite sure if we could bring him any results but we did. I remember sitting in his office,he shaking his head and thanking us for a job well done. He asked "how did you do this"? I responded with, "it all has to do with how you speak to people and the respect you show" and that's always what I saw from him. Another memory was at a Christmas Party where he was given a set of angel wings to wear.
After he left Harbor Division it would be some years until I saw him again. That happened when I was asked by the Lomita Chamber of Commerce to be a keynote speaker several times at the event, "walk with me, I'm gang and drug free" event for the 5th graders. The last time I saw him was about 3 years ago. We talked about the Crisis Team and I told him how I knew that the program he had initiated helped so many people.
He will be missed by so many but he too with other caring people have left his imprint with all who came to know him. God blessed him in many ways, and you Valerie were one of the special blessings in his life. I send my prayers to you and may your heart feel the grace of God and His embrace taking care of you through this difficult moment in time.

As a member of his high school class of 1968 I always remember Tim as a vibrant active and enthusiastic person. He always cared more for others than himself and lived in a generous and benevolent way. He will be missed by many many people. He was a bright light of honor and integrity.....

Dear Tim and family, we met at Gardena PD in February, 1971 when you and I were Police Cadets. I knew even then you were destined to do great things. You were a class act throughout your police career and continued to prove your selfless commitment to community service in the City of Lomita and at your parish church. I consider myself blessed to have known and worked with you. And I know our Savior has prepared a place for you. God Bless your family and loved ones in this time of sorrow. Until we meet again,
