Dear extended Munzer family:
My prayers are lifted for you.
I first met Bill one chilly September 1973 morning, we were both cleaning a grocery store parking lot in Flagstaff, before classes to earn extra spending money while attending NAU. We became close friends and ultimately roommates for nearly the next four years. Bill and I stayed in contact over the years but not in the kind of contact one wishes for when something as tragic as this happens.
My prayers go out for Bill's children, his brother, sister and mother, for comfort dealing with the loss of a father, brother and son. And to all of us who loved Bill and lost a friend.

Bill was one of my best friends at Catalina Island School. He was a stand up person with a zest for the goodness and good things in life and he was a true leader, one that goes the right direction overall and out of his way to include everyone. I am so saddened by this news and send my condolences to his family and friends and our old friends. I always expected to see Bill again to share how our lives turned out. I can see by all that is written how Bill touched the world and the people around him. When I met him 40 years ago on a small island, his character helped us create the spirit with whence we went into the world and that still lives with me today.

Bill's presence was like a bright sun shining in the room. His confidence and enthusiasm made him a great athelete, adventurer and pleasure seaker. His opinions were challenging yet repectively condsidered. Friendships and family were an honor and cheerished by him. Our friendship will always be precious to me. My condolances go to all his family and closest friends. Always and everything Bill
