February 27, 1935 - August 4, 2014 William (Bill) Whitfield Ruch was born in Los Angeles on February 27th, 1935 to parents Floyd and Irene. He attended Los Angeles High School and The University of Southern California where he majored in Psychology. Bill took ownership of family-owned Psychological Services Incorporated (PSI) in 1975. He owned and operated PSI for his entire career. He spent his retirement reading spy novels and predicting the stock market, but most of all, struggling with his golf game. Early in his career, Bill often traveled for work and his favorite destination was New Orleans, LA. It was there where he met the love of his life Dinah Conyers Ruch. They were married in 1983 and lived together in Los Angeles for 31 years. They loved to travel and together explored Hawaii, Europe, and Africa. But they never had more fun than when they returned to New Orleans for Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest. Bill became a grandfather for the first time in 2000 and has since welcomed seven grandchildren into the family. Recently, the family loved spending time in Lake Arrowhead where they enjoyed a second home. Bill was also committed to unique charities where his positive impact will be felt for years to come. Along with Dinah, Bill is survived by his sister Mardi Worley, son Bill Ruch Jr and step-children, Jennifer Walner and Taylor Williams. Dinah, Please know that we are thinking about you and keeping you and the family in our prayers. As a tribute I will pull extra hard for "our" Trojans this fall. Each game will remind Jim and me of a great guy we had the good fortune to know. He will be missed by so many. We love you.

Bill welcomed my wife Pam and I to their Lake Arrowhead life and it was like we were family. He and Dinah made everyday there the best vacation you could imagine. Bill's smile and the twinkle in his eye will forever be part of my life. Miss you Bill...
