June 1, 1924 - October 9, 2012
Henry "Lynn" Hall Jr. "The world's most interesting man" moved on Oct. 9, 2012. Lynn was born on June 1, 1924 in Fillmore, CA to Isabel and Henry Lynn Hall Sr. Along with running his own independent oil production company, Lynn was very active in keeping and breeding Fennec foxes, numerous species of beautiful fruit doves and pigeons; indeed, his name and expertise is internationally known. Throughout the years, Lynn has been active in numerous organizations and has given many presentations at various conferences. He served as a past president of the Avicultural Society of America and was on the board of Zoological Association of America (ZAA). He was awarded a truly special honor, the Jean Delacour Avicultural Award in 2007 for significant lifetime achievement in the field of aviculture at the ISBBC in Toronto, Canada. Lynn traveled in many countries throughout the world and appreciated each unique culture he encountered. He was an active participant in several conservation efforts including the Mariana Avifauna Conservation and the Sahara Conservation Fund. The Hall Family ZAA Wildlife Conservation Fund was created in honor of his work and the memory of his wife of 46 years, Marge Hall. Lynn was also preceded in death by his sons, Hank Hall and Jim Hall. He is survived by step-son Jim Olsen (Kay), daughter-in-law Diane Hall; grandchildren Christian (Pam), Eric (Adriana), Jennifer, Aaron, and Tony (Kristi); and great grandchildren Hank, Siena and Ella. In the way he lived his life he encouraged a sense of adventure in each of us.
