LAZAR, Moshe The Board of Directors, officers, and staff of American Friends of Tel Aviv University are deeply saddened by the loss of our cherished friend Prof. Moshe Lazar. The founding father and first dean of Tel Aviv University's Faculty of the Arts, his vision led to today's innovative curriculum of fine and performing arts, housed under one roof and grounded in the study and research of art history, theory, and criticism. An eminent scholar and researcher in his own right, his creative leadership helped inspire the lives and careers of numerous prominent alumni -- award-winning Israeli filmmakers, musicians, singers, actors, directors, scriptwriters, stage designers, and architects.
