November 24, 1922 - March 23, 2014 Our beloved father, Andrew Cucuiat passed away Sun., March 23rd at the age of 91. Born in Highland Park, MI to Romanian immigrant parents, Basil and Theresa Cucuiat, he was baptized at St. John The Baptist. He went to the Henry Ford Trade School, where his father worked before he died. But his heart was in caring for life forms, not machinery. During WWII, he served as a Medic in the Army getting first hand training while landing on Utah Beach during the Normandy Invasion. Later he got his BA in chemistry from Wayne State Univ. then got his D.O. at Still Osteopathic College. In Des Moines, he met and married Lorraine George and moved to California to pursue a career as a physician. He later got his M.D. degree from UC Irvine. Member of The Flying Samaritans, The Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent De Paul Soc., unselfishly giving to those in need. Survived by his wife Lorraine, sister Valeria, children; Mark, Joe, Steven, Jennifer, Michael, Jacqueline, Daniel and grandchildren; Allison, Ashley, Sofie, Giuseppe and Gabriela. We love you dad. Services: Rosary at Custer Christianson in West Covina on Monday 3/31 from 4pm-8pm. Funeral at St. Josephs Catholic church in Pomona on 4/1 at 9am. Burial at Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Riverside on 4/1 at 12 noon. Reception at The Mission Inn, Riverside immediately afterward.
