Born 9/1/28 North Dakota, Died 5/15/2014 Thousand Oaks, CA. Richard came to California as a young man and graduated from Glendale High School. He went on to join the Navy in World War II and served on the USS Lexington. He was very patriotic and loved to wear his hat on holidays. He went on to own and run a collection agency, work for several banks and finished his working career as a realtor who ran his own office. He was president of Kiwanis Glendale and participated in many of their civic sevice opportunities. He built a home in Lake Isabella, at which he moved rocks around and made improvements on weekends. He enjoyed his grandchildren and the family gatherings. He was married to Nina Wonser who predeceased him and to whom he was loving and loyal. He leaves his family and friends who will miss his ready smile and positive outlook. Have a happy journey, Dick. Funeral services will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1 pm.?
