April 4, 1981 - June 25, 2014 Matthew, 33 of Encino, passed away following an automobile accident. Matthew was born in Fresno. Matthew proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was stationed in Japan aboard the USS Kitty Hawk Aircraft Carrier and participated in Iraqi Freedom, earning numerous medals and commendations. Matthew loved sports and supported all Los Angeles area sports teams. Most of all, Matthew loved his family. He is survived by his loving daughter, Morgan; mother and stepfather Lisa and Kenny Pearl; sister Liane (Glenn) Kleczkowski; grandparents Donald and Dolores Eddy, Edith Hays; nephew Jack and numerous other family and friends everywhere. Matthew was preceded in death by his father Kevin Hays in 1994. Funeral Services with full military honors will take place Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 1:00 PM at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen Street, Chatsworth. Please visit www.gromanedenmortuary.com
