James E. Martin AKA James E. Cucovatz (74) died on Friday, July 11th of a massive heart attack after suffering from Alzheimer's for several years. Jim was born on June 29th, 1940 in Clymer, Pennsylvania.

After his parents, Paul and Dena Cucovatz moved to California from Michigan in 1962, Jim soon followed. Jim taught for 7 years in the Orange County Catholic school system. After that, he went on to become a Correctional Services Technician (CST) for the Orange County Sheriff's Department for 37 years. Jim retired in 2009.
Jim is survived by his sister Jeanne Kinney of San Ramon and nephew Michael, and his brothers; Larry Cucovatz and wife Linda of Anaheim, Robert Cucovatz and Paul Cucovatz Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, July 16th from 5-7:00pm at Brown Colonial Mortuary in Santa Ana. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Santa Ana on Thursday, July 17th at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach.
