Catherine Mann Obituary
Longtime resident of Santa Monica and Los Angeles, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2006 at the age of 83. Born Mary Kathleen Williams in Tallequa, Oklahoma, Cate was an actress in her youth, later the wife of director Daniel Mann, mother of three children, and for the last 35 years a resident of Buddhist meditation centers in Carmel Valley and Los Angeles. A bright, beautiful and charming woman, Cate was an avid reader, fascinated by science and the scientific mind, a lifelong student of Consciousness and Being. She is survived by her son, Michael Mann of Hermosa Beach, CA, daughter Erica Mann Ramis of Glencoes, IL, son Alex Mann of Woodland Hills, CA, her sister, Lorene Owen of Tulsa, OK, and four grandchildren, Julian and Daniel Ramis, Natasha Mann, and Jason Mann. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made "In memory of Catherine Mann" to The Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, 17190 Sunset Blvd., Pacific Palisades, CA 90272 (attn: Babette).
