It has been many years since I last spoke to my attorney and good friend Dennis Luna. Funny, after all these years living abroad working on various projects. He suddenly came to my mind wondering about him. Sadly, I just discovered he passed 6 years ago.
Dennis was not only my attorney for about 4 years but he was a great friend and mentor.
I am sharing this picture because he and I would play each year in Congressman Xavier Beccera's Golf Tournament in August of each year. Of course, now Xavier is Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Biden.
I know that Dennis would be very proud of Xavier and my accomplishments. He was a friend and advisor to the both of us.
I know he is resting in peace. May God bless his soul.

Dennis and I went to High School together and then our paths diverged. We met again after he returned from Harvard Law. I was working for CBS-TV Network and writing. He was always ready to help when I had legal concerns. He was also an inspiration. My deepest condolences.

Dennis was an intellectual giant, one of my favorite persons to work with and a greatly valued mentor from whom I learned so much. I'll never forget his passion for excellence, his attention to detail and inimitable sense of humor. Whenever Dennis laughed, the rest of us couldn't help but follow. His charisma was palpable. Dennis touched so many lives. He will always be with us.

Very saddened to hear of Dennis Luna's passing. He was well-liked in the Landman community in California, and his presence will be missed. My thoughts and prayers with those who knew him.
