Floyd RAPPAPORT Obituary

RAPPAPORT, Floyd A. (76), of Beverly Hills, CA, died Feb, 28, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Detroit, Mich. on Sept 4, 1933. After graduating University of Michigan (undergrad and Law school), he moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960's to work at Columbia Pictures as in house counsel. He continued in his career as an entertainment lawyer and was a partner for over 30 years with Mitchell, Silberberg, and Knupp. He was regarded by his peers as being incredibly smart, honest and hard working. His clients included Irwin Allen, Peter Lawford, and Steve McQueen. He was also CFO and Exec VP at UAA Films. He is survived by his very loving son Kurt, daughter-in-law Juliette, brother Stuart and sister-in-law Anne Rappaport, sister Donna Braverman and three very loving grandchildren, Jake, Luke and Julia. A memorial service will take place at Hillside Mortuary (800) 576-1994 Wed., March 3rd at 2 p.m.

Kurt.
We were saddened to hear about the loss of your beloved father.Our memories of Floyd go back to high school and we treasure the many happy experiences we shared together. Many old friends in Detroit were saddened to learn of Floyd's death. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. He was a very special guy!
