Milton SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Milton Bradley July 17, 1919-August 5, 2010 A 1942 graduate, Milt played in UCLA's first Rose Bowl game and earned distinction as football MVP in 1940. All-around sportsman, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, was an experienced equestrian and avid chess player, and skippered the Mamie to a Class C TransPac victory. An Army Lieut. during WW2, he owned Smith's Sporting Goods in Westwood. Predeceased by wife Virginia and daughter Sharon, Milt is survived by daughter Barbara White, granddaughters Jocelyn Coffman, Sarah and Anna White, great-grandson Devin White-Hill, and dear friend of his last ten years, Mollye Sloane. Celebration of his life will be held at California Yacht Club, Aug. 27, 3:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made through healthebay.org.

I can´t believe I just found this connection to Milt. My Boss, my friend, my Skipper and frankly a second Father. Milt made me who I am by enabling me to succeed.
We too sailed so many miles together. My best estimate is 50,000 plus. So many stories.
I hope this is still active.
