August 5, 1935 - November 24, 2010
Husband, Father, Grandfather passed away peacefully at his home in Cheviot Hills on the afternoon of November 24, 2010. He was 75.
Maurice was born in New York on August 5, 1935; the son of Sammy and Rose Weiss. He is survived by his wife Bonne. They have two daughters, Diana and Julie, and two grandchildren, Frank and Samantha. Maurice also leaves behind his brother Allen Weiss and his sister Jayne Weiss.
Maurice was a child prodigy on the drums at the age of five and was a regular on the NBC Radio show "Coast to Coast on the Bus" with Milton Cross. He was a life member of the Musicians Union as well as a member of SAG. He was an accomplished pianist, trumpet player and drummer as well as a band leader. He spent 30 years as a stock broker and started his third career as an actor six years ago. He appeared in several commercials and movies. He had studied with Ken Lerner, Howard Fine and Jeremiah Comey.
A celebration of Maurice's life is being planned.
