May 16, 1924 - March 20, 2011
James Jackson was born in Denver, CO, raised in Beverly Hills, and was a professor Quantitative Methods at UCLA. His research in manufacturing "operations" efficiency (logistics) was seminal in the way computer systems were originally designed. He was a founding Director of the Western Management Science Institute, and the first to apply mathematical techniques to business problems. He retired to Tehachapi, CA. He leaves his step-children Richard and Clem Molony, Kathy Hillis and his best friend Genevieve Higgins. Donations to Gold Shield, Box 84-493, LA, CA 90073
