Bowles, Morris Oliver July 8, 1921 - April 5, 2012 "Morrie" Morris passed away peacefully in the San Fernando Valley, after a fulfilling life. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence; father to four daughters: Karen, Debbie, Darcel and Janine; and devoted grandsons Lamar, Tremaine and Dominic. He was born in Henderson, Kentucky and grew-up in Champaign, Illinois. He moved to Los Angeles, California in the 1940's to pursue a career in law enforcement. Morris begain his career with the Los Angeles Police Department. He completed officer training and became a traffic officer and rose to the rank of detective. Upon retiring from the LAPD he work for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office as an investigator. He devoted 40 years to law enforcement. Morris was a true friend, loved and appreciated by many individuals. Memorial services will be held at Forest Lawn of Hollywood Hills 6300 Forest Lawn Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90068, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in the Church of the Hills.
