Leon Aberle

Aberle, Leon Marvin June 18, 1931 - July 3, 2012 Leon Aberle was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1931, the youngest of three children. The family resided in Hermosa Beach before moving to Mid-Wilshire. Leon attended UCLA and majored in history. Upon graduating, he was stationed in Fort Sill, OK during the Korean War as an officer. Following the war he returned to Los Angeles to start a career in the movie industry, working at Jaffe Agency before opening his own talent agency. Leon met his wife Petrina on a blind date in New York City, convincing her to move eventually to Los Angeles after they were married. Together they opened a women's wholesale clothing business. Married for forty-seven years, they were true partners in every sense. Leon is survived by his wife, his son Matthew, daughter Carla, and son-in-law Steven, as well as three grandchildren, Neil, Luke and Leonie. Leon was a gentle, kind and loving man; his sense of humor and storytelling charmed all those around him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 6th at Hillside Memorial Park at 10am.
