Don was a great musician, very talented, but also modest and curious regarding the latest new music trends. From 2002 on he was an active member of the CSU Northridge Composers Group, where he often performed and conducted his music. I had the honor of having him as a student in no less than 12 courses, and he was always a pleasure to work with. All of us here at CSUN will miss him greatly. Thank you, Don, for being so supportive of new music.
