Bernard Alben Obituary

Alben, Bernard Russ December 27, 1929 - August 26, 2012 Russ Alben died in Los Angeles on August 26th after a brief illness. An icon in the world of advertising, he created some of the most enduring campaigns and memorable slogans for Timex, Mattel and Post Cereals. He served as a director of the Bel-Air Association, Veterans' Park Conservancy, and Sinai Temple. A man of great humor and charm, Russ is survived by his loving wife, Alice Germanetti, son Alexander Alben of Seattle, son Ted and Christy Alben of Stevenson Ranch, and five grandchildren - Rachel, Emily, Jeremy, Abby and Allison. Memorial Service Aug. 30, 2012, 2pm at Hillside Mortuary.
