(78) Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and civic leader passed away on Jan. 6, 2013 in Torrance, CA from a heart attack. He was born on Oct. 1, 1934 in Guangdong, China. Albert graduated from UCLA in 1960 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He worked for the City of Torrance, retiring in 1997 as the Assistant City Manager after 37 years of public service. Albert was an avid golfer and active in the community. In addition to serving as city liaison to Torrance Unified School District and Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, Albert served on the Boards of Directors of the UCLA Asian Pacific Alumni Association,
, Volunteer Center, and Torrance Federal Credit Union. He also volunteered his time to several organizations -- to name just a couple, Albert was a charter member and past president of the Central City Optimist Club and a host facilitator for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games; he was also a member of the Bread of Life Church congregation. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Ng, son Dr. Nolan Ng and granddaughter Lauren Ng, son Ronald Ng (Jenny), and daughter Linda Ng (Dr. Jeffrey Ha).
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 19th, 10am, Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
