Philemon John "Jack" Baddeley, Jr., 90, passed away peacefully after a long life filled with love, ambition, adventure, and giving to others. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, son of Philemon and Ola (Young) Baddeley and grew-up in Hollywood, CA. After graduating from Hollywood High, Jack played basketball while attending UCLA, then served in the Navy as a Lieutenant during WW II. Jack co-founded Tri Way Contractors (floor covering contractor), and after 45 years, retired to travel and to be close to family in San Diego. Jack will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and good friend. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Elizabeth "Bette" (Sandstrom), his daughter Linda and son-in-law Gary Plambeck, his grandchildren, Christopher, Jacqueline, Robin and Andrew, and great-granddaughter, Kendall. Jack is predeceased by his daughter, Carol Ann.
Services will be held Friday, March 1st at 2:00 pm at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona del Mar. Donations in memory of Jack can be sent to Hollywood Wilshire YMCA or Zoological Society of San Diego.
