Alfredo Vela Obituary
Alfredo Vela, 53, passed away on March 24, surrounded by his family and friends. Alfredo was born on January 2, 1960 in Mexico (City), D.F., Mexico to Jesus Vela Sr. and Julieta Vela.

Alfredo immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1961. He was raised in East Los Angeles and the City of Commerce. He graduated from Bell Gardens High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University Los Angeles. Alfredo was well loved and admired in the City of Commerce where he was a dedicated employee for 35 years. Alfredo rose in rank from library page to Information Technology Manager. He lived in Hacienda Heights with his sister, committed to helping raise his two nieces.

He is survived by six brothers (Jesus Jr., Juan, Alberto, Daniel, Ernesto, Oscar), one sister (Isabel), eleven nieces, four nephews, one grandnephew, five sisters-in-law, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins who cared for him dearly. He will be missed by family, friends, and co-workers.

A Rosary will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 1835 Larkvane Road, Rowland Heights, California 91748, on Thursday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. A mass in celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 5, at 11 a.m., followed by the burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 S Fullerton Rd, Rowland Heights, California 91748.
