Robert K. Koga, 83, died peacefully at his home in Fallbrook, California when he lost his struggle with Mesothelioma on September 8th.
After serving with the U. S. Air Force and the Los Angeles Police Department, Robert developed a revolutionary aikido-based police officer training system that has been taught across the U. S. as well as in Canada, Mexico, Japan, and China.
Robert is remembered by family, friends, and a far-ranging community of peace officers as a man dedicated to the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
A public celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Details will be provided on the Koga Institute web site at An online guest book will be available soon.
