Claire Franklin Obituary

August 24, 1911 - June 7, 2014 Cherished wife for 64 years of Samuel B. (d.1997) devoted mother of Bernie Franklin (Judy) , Dick Franklin (Stephanie), Vicki Kupetz (Arnie), Bonnie Franklin (Marvin Minoff), and Judy Bush (Michael); loving Nanny of 13, beloved great-grandmother of 12. Born in Romania, raised in Montreal, Claire moved to California in 1932 on her honeymoon with Sam after being courted with daily telegrams stating "7 Always" - (short for "I Love You With All My Heart"). The home she created was a warm and nurturing place for all those who loved her, as "7 Always" remained her lifelong motto. Claire was the heart and soul of her family; her light affected so many. The family will be holding a private graveside service. A celebration of her life will take place on her 103rd birthday. She sounds like a wonderful person.....such a inspiration. Watched her daughter on One Day At a Time, and can tell her daughter was a very lovely person, a reflection of her mother. So sorry for the family's loss.
