Harold Weinstock

November 30, 1925 - December 1, 2014 Harold Weinstock, 89, of Beverly Hills passed away peacefully on December 1. Harold was a sweet-natured, loving and loved husband, father, grandfather, son, colleague, tennis and bridge partner, and raconteur. At his side were his wife of 64 years Barbara, his sons Neil, Michael, and Philip,; his daughter-in-laws Niki and Nava; his grandsons Shalev and Adam, and longtime friend of the family Maria Cortez. He is also survived by four other grandchildren, Shani, Eran, Ben, and Zoe. Harold was born on November 30, 1925, in Stamford CT, the only son of Elias and Sarah. He enlisted in the Army and participated in the liberation of Czechoslovakia in World War II. He graduated from NYU in 1947 and from Harvard Law School in 1950. While attending Harvard, he met his wife Barbara. Harold and Barbara lived in Washington D.C. where Harold worked for the SEC and the IRS. After their first two children were born, they moved to California in 1956, where Harold joined Hunt Foods as in-house counsel. Several years later Harold co-founded the renowned Century City law firm today known as Weinstock Manion. Harold was a prominent specialist in estate planning until he retired from practicing law in 1999. He shared his knowledge as a writer, teacher, and lecturer at tax institutes throughout the country. Harold also served as President of Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills. Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park on Thursday, December 4 at 1:00pm.
