Betty Williams Obituary

December 29, 1918 - December 22, 2014 Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan to Herbert and Emma Keathley. In 1939 she married Donald Williams, the love of her life and had 32 years of happiness until his passing. She was also preceded in death by her Brother Herbert and Granddaughter Elizabeth. She is survived by Daughter Susan Jane (Williams) Curnow, Knudson, MacKenzie; Son Douglas Robert; Granddaughters Kristen (Curnow) Rice and Melissa (Curnow) Yerman; and Great Granddaughters' Elizabeth and Emily Yerman. Betty was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend. A longtime resident of Inglewood, Betty enjoyed outdoor activities, loved to go fishing, but later moved to Laguna Niguel and became active in Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Assistance League. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, VITAS Hospice (Irvine), or charity of your choice in Betty's name.

I have fond memories of work with Betty on many worthy projects over the years. Not only was she generous with her time and effort, but also with her sense of humor. Goodbye, my friend. I'll miss you.
