November 13, 1923 - March 24, 2015 Passed peacefully at 91 years - March 24, 2015 - in La Canada Flintridge, California. Born in Chicago, Illinois - November 13, 1923 to Walter A. Clinnin and Winifred Monighan Clinnin. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Clinnin, and Walter (Bruzzy) Clinnin, who gave their lives in service to their country. Married 36 wonderful years to Jeanne Marie Beaton (deceased) from 1950 - 1986, Bob and Jeanne moved from Chicago to Los Angeles where they welcomed nine children: Julianne Bishop, Colleen McColloch, Mark (deceased), Sean, Janet Lirette, John, Kate Fischer, Robert, Jamie, 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was loving brother to Jane Clinnin Weils and devoted uncle of nephews David Clinnin and John Clinnin. In 2002 Bob married his wife Paula, enjoying 13 blissful years in La Canada, establishing a loving relationship with her sons, Steve, Mark and Tim Crisci and their families. Bob served with honor as a Naval Aviator, attended the University of Arizona, and Loyola University, Chicago before graduating from Loyola Law School in 1953. He was a founding partner at Thorpe, Sullivan, Clinnin, & Workman, and later Clinnin, Siracuse & Belcher, before completing his legal career with his sons Mark and John at Clinnin & Clinnin. A prominent trial attorney in Los Angeles for over fifty years, he provided trusted counsel to clients throughout California, and served with distinction as President of the American Board of Trial Attorneys. Bob attended daily Mass, and was an active parishioner at St. Bede's Catholic Church. Bob cultivated and valued personal relationships across generations of loyal friends and family. His humor, wit and faith will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held at Cabot & Sons, 27 Chestnut St, in Pasadena between 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015. A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Bede's, 215 Foothill Blvd, in La Canada. I learned a lot from Bob in watching him try complex products liability cases. He was a great trial lawyer, and a wonderful human being.

You have my deepest sympathy. May the God of loyal love comfort the family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 119:76

March 27, 2015

Clinnon, you were a great, funny and loving man. You were so kind to me when I worked for you. You always made me laugh. We had a great time even when you were mad. I am sure all of us who knew you well will miss the famous "Flight of the Bumble Bee". You were the best and you will surely be missed by all of us who knew you and loved you. My prayers and love are with your family.

Love, Robin Spero
