Ray ARNETT Obituary

September 17, 1917 - March 12, 2015 Ray Arnett, choreographer, longtime producer and stage director for Liberace, passed away at 97. He performed stage shows with actress Mae West earlier in his career and served as stage director and producer for Liberace's many sold-out performances beginning in the 1950s. Arnett was recently portrayed in HBO's critically acclaimed "Behind the Candelabra." By 1984, Arnett saw his name in lights on Radio City Music Hall's marquee as Producer for Liberace's 21 sold-out performances. Candid, charismatic, warm and witty, Arnett made friends easily. The son of the Shubert family's private chauffeur, Arnett supported the arts and local community throughout his life. He died peacefully in the company of friends in Beverly Hills on March 12.
