Jeannine Robin Wainrib

1952 - 2016

Jeannine passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016 after a prolonged battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on December 8, 1952 and is survived by her husband, Rod Merl, daughter, Rachel Wainrib Friendly, son-in-law, Evan Wheeler, father Charles Wainrib, and brother, Andrew Wainrib. Jeannine was a dynamic, creative, fun loving, witty, selfless woman who brought tremendous warmth and joy to every life she touched. An artistic and stylish person, she was an interior designer by trade, and every space she influenced brought delight to those who used it. She loved good food, animals, and travel, and was devoted to her family and friends. She played a mean game of Scrabble, loved bright sunny days, and was forever helping the rest of us to organize our lives. She adored music and dancing, bright colors, and art. She was a painter and a weaver and created beautiful gardens wherever she lived. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her, and will be forever cherished in our hearts.
