Ray and I were friends in high school and college, but had been out of touch for many years. I just googled Raymond Alba for the first time, and I am sad to hear of his passing, but was pleased to see in the obit that he had a successful career and family life. He was a great guy and a lot of fun to be with. We shared interests in jazz and the local boxing scene.
My condolences to his family.

What a Handsome devil he was! And he knew it too. He was this incredibly handsome man who got better with age.
And he was deeper than that-elegent, witty and kind. Megan Kandell Michael Ehler & Jack: He was someone to be proud of. A Mensch and a Gentleman.
