J.P. Douglas Obituary

LAURINBURG — J.P. Douglas, 68, of Laurinburg, died Feb. 27, 2015 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Green Pond Church of God in Christ in Gibson, Superintendent George Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Eula Douglas, of Gibson; five sons, Jerry Douglas and J.P. Douglas, both of Bennettsville, South Carolina, and William Johnny Douglas, Terry Douglas and Allen Douglas, all of Gibson; two daughters, Beverly Jones of Laurel Hill and Kathy Bennett of Fayetteville; two brothers, Delton Douglas and Dave Douglas, both of Laurinburg; a sister, Rosa Lee Quick, of Gibson, 29 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

McPhatter Funeral Home is serving the family.
