Mary Lee Caulder

LAURINBURG — Mrs. Mary Pittman Caulder, age 90 of Laurinburg passed away to her Heavenly home on Aug. 27, 2014.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the East Laurinburg Church of God officiated by Dr. Jeffery McGirt. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Mary was born Oct. 25, 1923 in Robeson County, loving daughter of the late James and Emmer Todd Pittman and the devoted wife to the late Odell Caulder. She was a homemaker and a textile worker with Waverly Mills retiring after 32 years of service.

Mary was a delightful, loving lady that served the Lord faithfully and dedicated her life to the love and care of her family and friends. She loved her church and served as a faithful member of the East Laurinburg Church of God since 1949 and she also attended Northview Harvest Ministries.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, David Pittman, Jimmy Pittman and sister-in-law, Bernestine Pittman.

Mrs. Caulder is survived by her daughter, Faye Poole Lowery and husband Rev. Jimmy Lowery of Laurinburg; brothers, Jack Pittman and wife Dorothy of Laurinburg and Herbert Pittman of Laurinburg; a sister, Emma Wade of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Gloria Poole Williams and husband Sandy, Tim Poole and wife Michelle, Earl Poole and wife Buffy, Suzette Poole Tobias and husband Carlos all of Laurinburg; great-grandchildren, Amber Williams Flowers and husband Jay, Erika Poole, James Earl Poole and wife Courtney, Chelsea Poole, Lupita Tobias, Stephanie Poole, Josiah Poole, Ethan Poole, Alexandra Graham, Ryleigh Poole, Joshua Poole and great-great granddaughter, Rosalie Poole; step grandson, Jimmy Lowery, II and wife Clarissa of Durham; step great grandsons, Jacob and Wesley Lowery; special friends Herman and Lisa Hoffman and family of Hawaiii and many special friends and family.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the East Laurinburg Church of God.

The family requests that memorial gifts be given in her memory to the Larry Poole Mission Fund at Northview Harvest Ministries, P.O. Box 1947, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
