GIBSON — Annie Mae Hunt Anderson, age 87 of Gibson passed away on Sept. 15, 2014.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Peele's Chapel Wesleyan Church in Laurel Hill. Rev. J.W. Williams will officiate the services.

Annie Mae was born May 10, 1927, loving daughter of the late John Hunt and Isabelle Poston Hunt. She was the devoted wife of the late Warren Hardie Anderson Sr. Annie Mae worked many years for J.P. Stevens. She was a long time member of Peele's Chapel Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed many hobbies which included flower gardening, needle point, and reading her bible. Most of all, Annie Mae enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Annie Mae was preceded in death by all but one sibling.

Annie Mae is survived by a son, Warren Hardie Anderson, Jr. and wife Lois of Gibson; daughters, Joyce Daniels and husband Don of Red Springs, Betty Wollitz and husband Everett of Jacksonville, Fla., Kathy Humphrey and Suzanne Anderson both of Fayetteville, Nancy Anderson of Red Springs, and Vicky Hardy and husband Jason of Avondale, Ariz.; a sister Nellie Lockey of Jacksonville; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Richard Boles Funeral Services Chapel.
