LAURINBURG — Annie Louise Lee Butler, age 81 of Laurinburg passed away on Nov. 12, 2014.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd. Burial will follow the service in Scotland Cemetery.

Mrs. Butler was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina on April 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Eli and Annie Campbell Lee and the loving wife to the late Gurley Butler. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after many years of service and then worked as a designer for Hallmark. She served as a volunteer with Scotland Memorial Hospital. Before her illness, she enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, baking her special chocolate cakes, visiting and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Everette Lee, L.W. Lee, Wilbert Lee and J.W. Lee.

Surviving are her children, Jerry Dean Lee of Laurinburg and Judy A. Turner and husband Jasper of Laurel Hill; three grandchildren, Andy Bennett, Lori Ann McLean, Chris Bennett and six great grandchildren, Mathew, Madisyn, Shelby, James, Ashton and Chase.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service, also at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
