LAURINBURG — Barbara E. Brown Mandras, 69, formerly of Gibson, left for her heavenly home on March 3, 2017 to be with her Lord and the love of her life, her husband Tom.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Leahr and Hilda Franz Brown. She lived her younger years in Wellsboro, Pa.

She retired from Belk as an associate manager in Ahoskie. Barb's favorite past time was riding horses and her motorcycles with her Goldwing family and going to Tuesday Cruisers. She was also a rider educator for motorcycles with the GWWRA, ride coordinator and was the author of the newsletters. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg.

She is survived by her daughters, Tamara Williams (Richard), of Panama City, Fla.; and Heather Sosa (Chuck) of Ludowici, Ga; her son, Waldimiro Sosa III (Crystal), of Hertford; her sister, Ruth Hutchinson (Hutch), of Hertford; her brother, Leahr Brown Jr. (Arlene) ,of Wellsboro, Pa.; grandchildren, Samantha, Josie and Dale Williams (Tamara and Richard), Kara, Sayden, Waldimiro "LJ", and Nova Sosa (Waldimiro and Crystal), Ty'Anna Sosa and Charlene Percell (Heather and Chuck) and her loving Goldwing family.

A celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 101 W. Church Street in Laurinburg. A reception will immediately follow the service.
