LAUREL HILL — Betty Jane Troublefield Locklear, 68, of Laurel Hill passed away on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Betty was a daughter of the late Clarence Troublefield, Sr., and Mary Ellen Cameron Troublefield born November 14, 1948 in Scotland County. She was a devoted homemaker and worked in retail management before retiring. She loved her church and church family serving as a faithful member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle. She enjoyed cooking for her family and going salt water fishing. Her greatest joy was sharing time with her family and friends. Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will truly be missed.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Troublefield. Betty is survived by her husband of 32 years, Fred Locklear of the home; sons, James Theodore Locklear and wife Yvonne of Laurel Hill, Timothy Lee Locklear, Richard Joseph Locklear and James Mitchell Locklear all of Laurinburg; her brother, Clarence Troublefield, Jr., of Laurinburg; six grandchildren and a special great grandson, Kyle Thomas Locklear.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Pastor Joe Barnhill. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

In Betty's memory, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle, 401 North Main Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
