LAURINBURG — Beulah Lee Hewitt, 97, of Laurinburg passed away to her Heavenly home on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017.

Beulah was born on April 12, 1920 in Montgomery County, the loving daughter to the late Brace Lee and Flora T. Bland Lee. She was a precious mother and a devoted homemaker. She retired after many years of service in textiles and served as a faithful member of the First Assembly of God in Rockingham.

In her younger years, she was a member of the Dirty Dozen Softball Team. She loved playing Bingo and making floral

arrangements for her church. She also enjoyed her time volunteering with Meals on Wheels in Rockingham. Beulah was dearly loved by her family and she will forever be missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda McDonald; her siblings, Bill Lee, Rob Lee, Cora Dyer, Dora Limburger, Graddy Lee, Nell Gifford and son-in- law, Bobby Bacot.

Beulah is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bacot of Laurinburg; brother, Clarence Lee of Charlotte; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, her many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Thursday, Nov. 30 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Alexander.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
