Charles William Yarborough

McCOLL, S.C. — Charles William Yarborough passed away peacefully on May 4, 2016 at Dundee Manor in Bennettsville, just two days shy of his 70th birthday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. DJ Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Rogers Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at Rogers Funeral Home.

Mr. Yarborough was born on May 6, 1946 in Marlboro County to the late Thomas "June" Yarborough and the late Willie Mae Jordan Yarborough.

After graduating from McColl High School in the class of 1964, he was a managing clerk at McLucas Quick Shop for 12 years and at Nic's Pic for 14 years following that. Mr. Yarborough was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. He was also a faithful and active member of the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Yarborough was preceded in death by three brothers: Roy Earl Yarborough, Leon Gerald Yarborough, and Kenneth Harry Yarborough and his sister Nancy June Yarborough Poolaw.

To cherish his memory he leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces, several of which he raised as his own children, and a host of neighbors and friends.
