LAUREL HILL — Coty Garnet Haywood, age 18 of Laurel Hill passed away on Dec. 21, 2014 due to an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by the Rev. J.B. Loving. Burial will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park.

Coty was born Jan. 2, 1996 the loving daughter of James Ricky Haywood and Kathy Locklear Brewer. She was an active student in her senior class at Scotland High School and loved being in the Culinary Arts Program with Chef Dibble. Her goal in life was to become a veterinarian or pediatric neonatal nurse. She loved helping and caring for others. Coty enjoyed cooking, shopping and pampering herself, swimming, going to the beach, caring for animals and especially spending time with family and friends. She was a precious daughter, sister and friend that will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by grandmother, Lizzie Haywood.

Coty is survived by her parents, mother, Kathy Locklear Brewer and husband Danny of the home; father, James "Ricky" Haywood and wife Laura of Laurel Hill; grandparents Rufus and Jessie Lee Locklear and Edward Haywood all of Laurel Hill; her brother, Ricky "Dalton" Haywood of the home and sister, Bobbi Lea Evans of Laurel Hill; half brother, James Edward "Ed" Haywood and wife Angie of Florida; half sisters, Tracey Lynn Haywood Pate and husband Toby of Florida, Kellie Leanne Morris of Laurinburg; step sister, Karen Sue Locklear and husband Brad of Laurel Hill; her special niece, Aaliyah Inez Monk of Laurel Hill; other nieces and nephews, Caden, Jason Elliott, Anthony, Darren, Dai'sha, Landon, Joseph, Zack; great niece, Heaven Leanne, her special K9 companion, Febie and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
