David Lee Nicoulin (1939 - 2016)

LAURINBURG — David Lee Nicoulin, 77, passed away on April 13, 2016.

David was a son of the late Lawrence and Mildred Nicoulin born Jan. 11, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Ohio State University and Cleveland Engineering. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a machinist mate. David had a distinguished career as plant managers with Lee L. Woodard & Sons and retired from Scotland Manufacturing Company in 1997.

He served as a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Living Word. He enjoyed remodeling his home and landscaping. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Donald Nicoulin.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years Kathleen "Kathy" Singer Nicoulin of their home in Laurinburg, sons Daniel "Danny" Nicoulin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Gregory "Greg" Nicoulin of Troy, Ohio, his daughter Michelle Nicoulin of Charlotte, brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Nicoulin, Jr., Michael Nicoulin, and Raymond Nicoulin all of Orlando, Florida, and his grandchildren Katelyn Nicoulin, Ashelyn Nicoulin, Brian Nicoulin, Bradley Wessman and Nicolyn Federice.

A celebration of life service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Rev. Lynda Nelson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on April 23 at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

The family requests that memorial donations be given in his memory to Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353 or the Lutheran Church of the Living Word, 125 South Main Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
