MAXTON — Mrs. Eva Baxley Britt, age 99 of Maxton passed away on Sept. 7, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton.

Mrs. Britt was born in Hemmingway, S.C. on July 15, 1915, daughter of the late William Jim Baxley and Leunenah May Owens Baxley and she was the devoted wife to the late Leo Britt. She dedicated her life to the love and care of her family. She served as a member of the Fairmont Baptist Church and the Maxton Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jethro Britt, all of her siblings and great-great granddaughter Nevaeh Sanderson.

She leaves behind three sons, Lee Elwood Britt, Sr., and wife Delta of Maxton, James Baxley Britt and wife Velma of Leland, NC, Bobby Lay Britt and wife Mary of Laurinburg; eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, fifty three great-great grandchildren, one great, great, great grandchild; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
