HARTSVILLE, S.C. — Funeral services for Flossie Vassy Wells, 90, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Fran Elrod will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wells died on Nov. 1, 2015. Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Claude and Flossie Mays Vassy.

She was a graduate of Limestone College and was retired from Sonoco Products with 35 years of service. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a choir member for 61 years. She was also active in the Darlington County Humane Society.

Surviving are her son Chip (Maggie) Wells of Laurinburg, grandchildren Tripp Wells and Emma Wells, and extended family members Emma McInnis, Carolyn McClure, Margaret LeNeave, and Charles and Miriam Bounds and their family.

She is preceded in death by her husband William "Billy" Wells.
