Gary Edison Dilling

LAURINBURG — Gary Edison Dilling, 57, passed away on Nov. 17, 2015 in the presence of his loved ones.

Gary was born on Aug. 26, 1958, son of Betty Small Dilling and the late Claude Dilling. Gary was a master of many trades and was truly admired for his brilliance in everything he did. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing the guitar, singing, listing to music and watching well-written movies. He also enjoyed working with his hands, photography and being around his loved ones.

Gary was a wonderful, complicated man who will truly be missed and he gave the world's best hugs. He loved his family and did his best to inspire them all. He will never be forgotten and his legacy will live on with his children and grandchildren for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his sister Christi Dilling Madden.

He is survived by his daughters Jill Dilling, Heather Neumann (Brad), and Tess Dilling all of

Laurinburg and Anna Dilling currently serving in Kuwait, his mother Betty Hackler and stepfather Harold, brothers Wendell Dilling, Alan Dilling, and Marty Hackler all of Laurinburg, sisters Annalorie Madden of Wagram and Annalie Sessoms and Carmen Watts both of Laurinburg, and six grandchildren: Allisa Dilling, Makayla Easterling, Isaac Dilling, Triston Quick, Chloe Neumann and Deaglan Quick.

There will be no funeral services as were Gary's wishes. The family will celebrate his life together with friends the way he would have preferred to be remembered.
