LAUREL HILL — Johnnie Wayne Duzan, 67, passed away on Feb. 24, 2014.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Rev. Larry Frye. Burial will be private at Hillside Memorial Park.

Johnnie was born in Washington, Ind. on Nov. 19, 1946, son of the late John Andrew Duzan and Margie Dyer Duzan. Residing in Florida for several years, he served in law enforcement as a narcotics detective. He then began a career with Wal-Mart and retired after many years of service. He enjoyed his John Deere tractors and riding and caring for his horses. Above all, Johnnie truly loved sharing time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Nelson Duzan of their home in Laurel Hill, sons Christopher Wayne Duzan of Florida and Mark Alan Duzan and wife Heidi Kay of Mocksville, daughters Mandi Rusich and husband William of Rockingham and Denise Virginia Duzan Simpson and husband Mike of Sanford, Fla., brothers Brad Marvin Duzan and wife Carolyn Fay of Washington, Ind., Jude Alan Duzan of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Mark Todd Duzan and wife Becky Jo of Washington, Ind., his sisters Andera D. Sullivan and husband Michael of Ocean Springs, Miss. and Lori Shawn Schnarr and husband David of Washington, Ind., his grandchildren Cullen Eans, Andrew McMillan, Bethany Duzan, Abagail Duzan, Emma Rusich, Caleb Simpson, and Hunter Simpson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and also from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

Memorial donations may be made in Johnnie's memory to the , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or PBS Kids Television.
