LAURINBURG — Mrs. Juanita Hardwick Sasser, age 85 of Laurinburg passed away on Oct. 7, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the North Laurinburg Baptist Church with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park, the Revs. Ed Pilarczyk and Frank Ingram officiating.

Juanita was born March 12, 1929 in Columbus County, daughter of the late Noah and Ronnie Russ Hardwick. She was a loving homemaker and worked with the Ingraham Watch Company, retiring after many years of service. She was a Charter member of the North Laurinburg Baptist Church where she lovingly served as a Sunday School Teacher and choir member. She also enjoyed reading, making crafts, fishing, clamming and truly loved her time with family and friends.

Preceding her in death were brothers, Clarence Hardwick, Ray Hardwick, Darcey Hardwick, Orby Hardwick, David Hardwick; a sister, Inex Stewart and grandson, Jimmy Jackson.

Mrs. Sasser is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Herman Sasser of their home in Laurinburg; three daughters, Shirley Frotton and husband Steve of Nakina, Brenda Bullard and husband William of Laurel Hill, Ann Jackson and husband Jim of Stamford, CT; a brother, W.C. Hardwick of High Point; three sisters, Mable Johnson, Aline Evans both of Whiteville, Darothy Mae Summerset of Nakina; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

Memorial gifts are requested to be made in her memory to the North Laurinburg Baptist Church, 517 Lee's Mill Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
