LAURINBURG — Linda McRae Fletcher, 63, passed away Oct. 20, 2014 at Morrison Manor.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Revs. Dr. Jonathan Jeffries and Larry Sawyer. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Susan McCall (James) and Frances Wyland (Jeremy) of Laurinburg; her mother, Sue Brooks McRae of Laurinburg; her brothers, Jim McRae (Jenny) and William McRae (Tammy) of Laurinburg; her sister, Sally Ormsby (Bob) of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Morgan McCall, Lilly Wyland, David McCall and Lincoln Wyland.

Born Jan. 24, 1951 in Scotland County, she was also a daughter of the late James Douglas McRae. Linda was a 1969 graduate of Scotland High School and received her Registered Nurse training at the Baptist Nursing School. She later served with Maxton Medical, the Purcell Clinic, Dr. Hugh McArn, Scotia Village, and Hospice of Scotland County. She was on the original staff of Hospice of Scotland County.

Linda was a caring, sacrificing and creative caregiver. She also used her creative talents with many floral and center pieces for special occasions. She also loved children and worked with them in many areas including the First United Methodist Church.

Memorials are requested for Hospice of Scotland County, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
