ROCKINGHAM — Marjorie "Honey" Comer Dean, 76, passed away at her home on July 12, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park.

Marjorie was the daughter of the late Homer and Clara Mae Snodgress Comer born on June 22, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia. She worked in banking and retired as the executive secretary with the Laurinburg and Southern Railroad.

She attended the East Laurinburg Baptist Church. She loved the beach and scrapbooking for her grandchildren. Marjorie was a loving Christian mother and grandmother who will truly be missed.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters Norma C. Whitley and Barbara Spangler.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years Donald Dean of their home in Rockingham, sons Donald E. Dean, Jr. (Cynthia) of Blairsville, Georgia, John C. Dean (Tina) of Florence, South Carolina, Craig A. Dean of Rockingham, and Curtis Dean (Tammy) of Laurinburg, daughter Cindy Ivey of Rockingham, brother Kenneth Comer of Ravenswood, West Virginia, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
