LAURINBURG — Phyllis Butler Tomlinson, 67, of Laurinburg passed away on Aug. 10, 2016 at Morrison Manor.

Phyllis was the daughter of the late Florence Butler Bridgeman born October 30, 1948 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. She was a devoted homemaker and formerly worked in textiles with J.P. Stevens, Inc. She served as a former member of the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed attending Stewartsville Baptist Church in most recent years. S

he loved her cats, enjoyed walking, watching her television soap operas and truly loved sharing time with friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, sister and aunt that will forever be missed.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Sidney L. Tomlinson, Jr., of their home in Laurinburg; her twin sister, Linda B. Norris and husband Ricky of McColl, SC; her niece, Dena Norris and great niece, McKenna.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, Au. 13 at Richard Boles Funeral Service. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Michael Malpass and Rev. Thomas Kinder. Burial will follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery, McColl, SC.

The family requests that memorial donations be given to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 11480 Hasty Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352 or to the New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 14681 Rea Magnet Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
