CORDOVA — Raymond Allen Gaddy, 63, of Cordova, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at his home.

Gaddy was born Dec. 9, 1949 in Richmond County, a son of the late Sherwood and Bessie Bristow Gaddy. He had served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, had been employed with Clark Equipment Co., and retired from Campbell Soup Co. in Maxton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Locklear Gaddy; brothers, Sherwood "Sonny" Gaddy and Earl Gaddy; and sisters, Bobbie Idol and Brenda Wilson.

Surviving are his children, Tony Gaddy of Albemarle and Eric Gaddy of Holden Beach; brothers, Steve Gaddy of Winder, GA, and Terry Gaddy of Rockingham and sisters, Phyllis Baker of Cordova and Linda Everett of Rockingham.

A service to celebrate Raymond's life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Southwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Rev. Randy Guerry officiating.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
